Dune 2 worldwide box office projection for the opening weekend
With pre-sales in full swing, Dune 2 is expected to rake in an impressive $170 million during the opening weekend at the worldwide box office. At the North American box office, the film is expected to contribute around $80 million, reports Deadline. In the overseas market, too, this Timothee Chalamet and Zendaya starrer is in full demand, and around $85 million to $90 million are expected to come from here.

Warner Bros is keeping their expectations minimal and is projecting around $65 million in the domestic market during the opening weekend. However, the tracking services and trade experts are very optimistic about this film.

Reportedly, Dune 2 is carrying a budget of $190 million. That’s a huge cost but nothing to worry about as in the opening weekend itself, the film is aiming to earn $170 million, which equals 89.47% of the total budget. In a few days of theatrical run, the film is expected to go past the breakeven.
