Imran Khan and Deepika Padukone’s Break Ke Baad took a slow start on Friday, something that sent shockwaves across the industry . The film’s Friday nett collection was Rs. 3 crore (Rs. 30 million); the Saturday collection was Rs. 3.5 crore (Rs. 35 million). The film managed a marginally better total of Rs. 4 crore nett (Rs. 40 million) on Sunday. Thus the total weekend collections of Break Ke Baad were Rs. 10.5 crore.
However, due to its reasonable cost of around Rs. 27 crore, and the fact that actor Imran Khan did not charge any remuneration but preferred to keep a share in the profit, the film’s distributors should find it easy to break even.
