While it was pretty much expected that single screens would see a very good opening for the Prabhudeva directed affair, what is making all the difference to the opening day is the kind of advance that the film has managed at the multiplexes.
Especially in the Delhi NCR, the film has seen one of the biggest advance ever, which can in fact also be compared with that of Bajrangi Bhaijaan. At last count, more than 50 shows are already houseful just in Delhi for today, which is something that the makers of Singh Is Bliing would be quite happily looking at.
What makes this opening further special is the fact that Singh Is Bliing was all this while perceived as a masala entertainer that would be mainly seeing ‘current’ footfalls. However, a terrific advance booking is the testimonial of the fact that family audiences too are expected to come in huge numbers across the country, especially in Delhi NCR, Punjab and Haryana.
With morning shows already going full and an average opening day (across the country) of at least 60% pretty much on the cards, the film is all set to comfortably cross the 20 crore mark. In fact if the word of mouth turns out to be ‘good to excellent’, even 22-24 crore is possible.
All said and done, the film is set to be the second highest opening day of the year after Bajrangi Bhaijaan.
