Join UsBox Office Report Card Of The Month: The month of February started with the sweet hangover of Padmaavat phenomena which released in the last week of January. So, the first week of Feb was left vacant for the big fish to explore the sea (Read: Box Office). PadMan and Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety have made this February fabulous, let’s see the box office report card of this month.
Akshay Kumar’s PadMan released on 9th February opened with raving reviews and earned 10.26 crores on its day 1. It went on and collected 40.05 crores in its 1st weekend laying the base for stable days ahead. Made at the cost of 37 crores, PadMan became the 1st movie to enter the list of profitable movies of 2018. Till now it has earned 41.95 crores as return on investment which results in 113.37 as ROI %.
The next week had Black Panther and Aiyaary hitting the cinema halls. The Neeraj Pandey thriller was expected to cash in a decent amount going by the track record of his previous films but same was not the case in this one. The movie has flopped at the box office collecting 17.01 crores till now. On the other side, Black Panther has been earning a good amount, courtesy Marvel’s rapidly increasing fan base in India.
The last week of February welcomed an unwelcoming Welcome To New York and a super entertaining – Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety. Whereas the former one has been ignored completely despite having the presence of huge stars, the later one has been making everyone laugh their guts out. Sonu Ke Titu Sweety had a superb 1st weekend of 26.57 crores and is now standing at a total of 31.47 crores.

The movie has yet to cover a lot of distance at the box office, but with this kind of start, we are sure happy days are ahead for it.
