I Am Kalam may have won the appreciation of a section of the audience but it failed to translate into handsome collections at the ticket windows in its first week. In other words, the film has managed more acclaim than collections.
- I Am Kalam, Chala Mussaddi…, Rise Of The Planet Of The Apes: BO Update
Chala Mussaddi – Office Office failed to bring a smile on the audience’s faces and, therefore, on the faces of the people associated with the comedy based on the very popular TV serial, Office Office. Atmost of the places, the film has had to be discontinued after just a week’s run.
Aagaah The Warning almost seemed like a warning to the public to stay away from the cinemas because a lot many shows of the horror film had to be cancelled in different parts of the country in the first week itself owing to lack of audience. The poorly scripted and shoddily made film, produced by a first-time producer, has turned out to be a complete disaster.
Rise Of The Planet Of The Apes and its dubbed Hindi version, Rise Of The Apes – Vinaash Ka Aarambh, did very ordinary business in the first week.
Maaro Ya Maro (dubbed) lived up to half its title only. Rather than conquering the box-office, it breathed its last in the cinema halls in its first week itself. The English version, Tekken, from which it has been dubbed, fared no better than the dubbed Hindi version.
(dubbed) could not save itself from extinction, so poor were its collections in the first week. The original English version, Garo-3D, also failed to entice the viewers, notwithstanding the 3D carrot.
