Raid has enjoyed a good first week at the Box Office as collections stand at 63.25 crore*. While the film opened well with a double-digit score, the clincher was growth over the weekend that took it past the 40 crore mark. However what was the need of the hour was for the film to have stable weekdays as well and this is what went in its favour. The collections never went under the 5 crore mark and that has allowed the number to go well past the 60 crore mark.
Ajay Devgn now has another good success under his belt after Golmaal Again and he is showing his pull over the audience as a superstar who has been around for more than 25 years. To bring on numbers for a realistic drama like this is no mean feat and he backed director Raj Kumar Gupta to the fullest, the results of which can well be seen. He has been consistent at the Box Office and the good run is set to continue for time to come as well.
Meanwhile, the film is now heading towards the 90 crore mark comfortably though it has to be seen what’s the kind of push it gets over the second weekend to aim for higher milestones. If around 25 crores more come in the second week, Raid could well take a shot at the 100 Crore Club.
