Bombay Velvet had a disastrous start in the morning shows and kept a slow stride till the noon shows across the country. The film starring Ranbir Kapoor, Anushka Sharma and Karan Johar got a screen count of 2600 in India. But the first day collections seem too dull. As per early estimates, the film made a business of 5.20 crores nett on its 1st Friday at the Domestic Box Office.

This Anurag Kashyap directorial will surely see a jump in cities on weekend days – Saturday/Sunday. The film fared poorly in single screens and mass belts. But being made on a budget of around 120 crore, the opening number shows no promise of recovery. Even the word of mouth is fairly on the negative side, which is not a good sign for the film.
