Vishesh Films and Viacom 18 Motion Pictures’ Blood Money has had an average weekend at the India box-office. The film, starring Kunal Kemmu and Amrita Puri, made an estimated Rs. 5.50 crore over its first weekend.
The film did better business in the smaller centres of India as compared to the city multiplexes. Helping the film’s prospects at the box-office was its hit music. However, its lesser known star cast and the mixed reports put a dent in the collections.
The collections of Blood Money will now have to sustain over the week, as from Friday onwards (when Housefull 2 releases), the film’s chances of doing much business are very poor.
However, the fact that the film was made, promoted and released at a small budget means that the producers might have the opportunity to recover their investment in part. How the rest of the week goes will ultimately decide the film’s fate.
