Yami Gautam and Priyamani’s Article 370 has already emerged as a box office winner and is still churning out numbers. Yes, the film has definitely gone down due to multiple new releases running in theatres. However, it is doing enough to achieve important feats. Directed by Aditya Suhas Jambhale, Article 370 was released in theatres on 23rd February. Upon its arrival, the film opened to mostly positive reviews from critics. Even among audiences, the reactions were highly favorable. As a result, the momentum remained intact after a good start, and the verdict of clean success was achieved in no time.
As per the latest update, Article 370 has amassed 78.58 crores at the Indian box office after 29 days. Compared to the reported cost of 40 crores, the Yami Gautam starrer is enjoying an ROI (return on investment) of 38.58 crores. If calculated further, the returns stand at 96.45%.
Article 370 is already a Plus affair at the Indian box office, and it’ll secure a Hit verdict once it reaches 100% returns, which will happen when the collection of 80 crores is achieved.
The political thriller has slowed down in its theatrical journey, and on the fifth Friday, it went below 0.30 crore. Still, considering the weekend and Holi holiday, there’s a chance of achieving 80 crores by Monday itself. So, it’s just a matter of 2-3 days, and the film will emerge as a clean Hit. With a bit more push, there was a chance of scoring a century, but then Shaitaan came and took away the majority of the audience. Also, the content was more of an urban-centric.
For Yami Gautam, Article 370 has done a job of cementing a position as a bankable and valuable face in terms of box office. She is enjoying a streak of big successes with Uri: The Surgical Strike, Bala, OMG 2, and now, Article 370.
