Blessy’s survival drama, Aadujeevitham – The Goat Life, has emerged as a box office force to be reckoned with. In its first week, the film has grossed a staggering total worldwide, surpassing expectations and leaving the previous Malayalam record holder, Manjummel Boys, in the dust. On Day 8, Aadujeevitham collected 3.15 crore at the domestic box office. It has struck a chord with audiences in its home state of Kerala. With over 40 crore collected in Malayalam alone, the film boasts exceptional regional appeal. While the performance in other languages remains modest, the international market has responded positively, contributing a healthy 39.50 crore to the worldwide total of 93.60 crore.

The Mollywood film has defied the usual pattern of slow-burning word-of-mouth success. Despite strong pre-release buzz, many anticipated the film’s niche subject matter might limit its appeal. However, Aadujeevitham – The Goat Life has raked in a phenomenal 47 crore domestically within its first week, nearly doubling Manjummel Boys‘ eight-day collection of 26.35 crore. This suggests a strong initial audience reception, potentially fueled by the film’s adaptation of a beloved novel and Prithviraj’s powerful performance.
