Join UsThe perfect pairing of Salman Khan and Jacqueline Fernandez in the movie Kick had set the temperature soaring in the film. Recently Sajid Nadiadwala and NGE made an announcement about Kick 2 hitting the floor soon and will see a Christmas release in 2019.
The fans had started anticipating that this Kick franchise will again see Salman and Jacqueline sharing the screen together. Taking everyone by surprise when the announcement of Kick 2 was made, there was no mention of Jacqueline’s name in the cast. The reason being that Jacqueline is no longer a part of the franchise! According to Bollywoodlife, the makers of Kick 2 are in a hunt for a new face for the franchise and have already approached a few big names in the industry to star opposite Salman.
According to an article in the daily, a source close to the project confirmed, “Jacqueline Fernandez will not be a part of Kick 2, however, this is not because of any issue between anyone, but because the story is completely different. Jacqueline’s track ended in Kick. In fact, Kick 2 has a completely new plot and character, hence Sajid Nadiadwala and his team decided to cast a new leading lady. They’ve shortlisted a few names and should make an announcement soon.”
Rumour mills were abuzz a couple of months back that actress Deepika Padukone was approached for Kick 2 but things could not materialise and she could not join the Kick 2, team. Hence the makers had to announce the release date with just Salman’s name on it. The announcement of the lead actress for the film will be made soon as the makers are currently in discussion with at least three top actresses of the industry.
