If recent reports by entertainment portal, Zoom, is to be believed, Sriram Raghvan had first approached Varun Dhawan for the project, but the actor turned it down for reasons unknown. However, the catch comes in the form that Varun till date regrets denying the project. Furthermore, when he learnt about the filmmaker working on Arun Khetarpal’s biopic, he decided to himself approach him for the same. And that’s how Varun ended up playing the lead in the upcoming Indo-Pak martyr’s biopic.

Meanwhile, AndhaDhun turned out to be a game-changer for Bollywood, when a suspense thriller ended up gaining the shattering kind of response, not just amongst the audiences but also at the ticket windows. The movie earned massive and turned out to be a superhit at the box office.

AndhaDhun also starred Radhika Apte and Tabu in pivotal roles. In fact, Ayushmann’s tremendous performance a blind pianist led for him to share the National Award this year alongside Vicky Kaushal who impressed the cine-goers with his amazing portrayal in Uri: The Surgical Strike.
