Sonam Kapoor’s last offering – The Zoya Factor – may have had a dull run at the box office, but the actress has bagged a big project already. She will be reportedly uniting with Badla director Sujoy Ghosh for a remake of a Korean Drama.

According to Bollywood Hungama, Sonam is roped in to star in Sujoy Ghosh‘s next production venture. It is the Hindi adaptation of the South Korean film Blind. Along with Ghosh’s banner, the film will apparently be co-produced by Viacom 18. Sujoy’s associate director Shome Majhika, who has earlier worked in Badla, Te3n and Zindabaad, will helm this film.

A source close to the project informed Bollywood Hungama, “Yes, Sujoy has acquired the rights to the Korean film Blind and has roped in Sonam Kapoor for the lead role. The film will be produced by Sujoy under his banner and Viacom 18. As for direction, Sujoy’s associate director Shome Majhika will helm the venture.”

“Right now it is still too early to give any more details. Sujoy and the rest are still planning the film. Once done, only then will the venture go on floors,” added the source. The makers are yet to make the news official about this remake of the 2011 South Korean crime thriller film.

Talking about the Korean film – Blind, it is a mystery drama that involves a missing person case. The protagonist, in the film, is a blind girl who helps the police to solve a hit-n-run case. So all Sonam Kapoor fans can brace themselves to see Sonam play this role.
