Sidharth Malhotra & Alia Bhatt Confirmed For Aashiqui 3

Not Hrithik Roshan and Sonam Kapoor, the lead pair of Aashiqui 3 is the alleged couple Alia Bhatt and Sidharth Malhotra. The Mohit Suri film will be the third installment of the franchise. Confirming that Alia and Sid have been approached for the role, Mahesh Bhatt spoke to a leading daily.

Seeing the film’s narrative, the makers felt the Student Of The Year couple would be a good choice. Both the stars are yet to officially sign the film.

Aashiqui 2 starring Aditya Roy Kapur and Shraddha Kapoor met with huge success and hence the makers decided to continue the franchise with another film with a new cast.

Aashiqui 3 is expected to go on the floors next year. In the meanwhile, Sidharth is currently wrapping up his next, Baar Baar Dekho with Katrina Kaif while Alia has commenced the shooting of her untitled film with Gauri Shinde which also stars Shah Rukh Khan.

If all goes well, Aashiqui 3 will be the first film for Alia Bhatt under her father’s banner.
