Ajay Devgn’s Shaitaan is ringing bells at the box office. The horror flick opened at an unexpected 15.21 crore at the box office. Ajay and Jyothika play helpless parents watching their daughter trapped in ‘Oopari Pher’ while R Madhavan plays the antagonist in the film. Expecting success from the film will not be an exaggeration, and the star cast, with their reported salaries, might have helped a lot to keep the budget of the film in check.

As per reports, the horror film that has been made on a restricted budget, which is not yet known, is surely having a strong impact at the box office, which was expected ever since the trailer of the supernatural horror film dropped online.

Shaitaan is expected to work wonders and add to the list of films that bring a smile to the business and contribute to happy days for Bollywood films. Finally, with mid-budget films working well at the box office after Vikrant Massey’s 12th Fail last season and Yami Gautam’s Article 370 this season, things seem to be in place.

Ajay Devgn Slashes His Base Price?

Coming to the salaries of the star cast of Shaitaan, according to reports, Ajay Devgn has charged 25 crore for the film. NDTV quotes this amount as the actor’s takeaway from the film. However, he will definitely take his share of profit later. However, the actor has still slashed his fee by around 16% since he usually charges 30 – 32 crore for a film.

Ajay Devgn Paid 150% Higher Than R Madhavan

Despite slashing his base price, Ajay Devgn has still been paid a whopping 150% higher than the antagonist R Madhavan, who has been paid 10 crore for his role.

Jyothika’s Fee For Shaitaan

The horror film is Jyothika’s comeback in Bollywood, and the actress has been paid 5 crore for the film. She plays a helpless mother who is trying every bit to save her daughter.

Janki Bodiwala’s Fee For Shaitaan

Revelation for Shaitaan is Janki Bodiwala, who has been paid 2 – 3 crore, according to a report by NDTV.

Ajay Devgn’s price for his last few films has consistently been 30 – 32 crore, be it Drishyam 2 or Bholaa. His taking a pay cut for Shaitaan is a move that should be welcomed and celebrated. Helmed by Vikas Bahl, the horror film is getting good reviews and churning out good numbers at the box office.
