With the entire buzz surrounding Aamir Khan’s Peepli [Live] and Salman Khan’s Dabangg, Shah Rukh Khan finally has a reason to make it to the news. The Bollywood superstar’s wax figure will be unveiled at the Madame Tussauds museum in New York. The event is going to be a typical Bollywood style entry with colourfully clad dancers performing to songs from his latest release My Name Is Khan. Incidentally, the film will have its DVD release simultaneously.

This isn’t breaking news for the mighty Khan; he already has a wax figure at Tussauds’ Los Angeles branch. His latest wax figure will be dressed in a sleek black suit and white button down shirt, a statement from the museum said. Shah Rukh is the latest addition to Tussauds’ newly launched ‘Bollywood Zone’.

No surprises here: Shah Rukh Khan was named one of Newsweek’s ’50 Most Powerful People in the World’ in 2008 and was also one of the first Bollywood stars to ring the NASDAQ bell for Fox Searchlight Pictures with Kajol.

We wonder whether Tussauds should have waited for Shah Rukh’s RA.ONE to sculpt his superhero looks!
