Join UsAfter making a mark as a writer with movies like Heyy Babyy, Shootout At Wadala and Ek Villain, Milap Zaveri has successfully made his place in masala genre by pulling off outings like Satyameva Jayate and Marjaavaan, as a director. Now, the filmmaker has reunited with John Abraham for Satyameva Jayate 2 and has proclaimed of continuing the franchise by making most his favourite action star.
In a talk with Mumbai Mirror, Milap Zaveri spoke about his upcoming actioner Satyameva Jayate 2 and its basic plotline. He said, “The first film dealt with corruption, but with Part 2, corruption in all spheres—from the police to politicians, industrialists, the common man—will be tackled. It is situational, in the Dabangg and Rowdy Rathore zone. There are moments in the film where John will play to the gallery.”
He further made a major statement which assured that the franchise will not be limited to just two instalments. “Like Sylvester Stallone has done Rambo, I will keep making Satyameva Jayate with John addressing new issues. He will keep growing older but will continue to fight corruption in the series. His personal aesthetic in films is more in the realistic zone, but he often jokes that Milap’s films are his cheat days,” the filmmaker added.

Recently, while talking about the movie, Milap quoted to IANS, “‘Satyameva Jayate 2‘ is twice the action, emotion, power, patriotism and punch. Led by John Abraham back as a crusader for justice and with Divya Khosla Kumar joining the franchise, I hope next Gandhi Jayanti we provide the audiences with a powerful entertainer that also gives a strong message against corruption.”
The movie is slated to release on 2nd October 2020.
