Saif Ali Khan On Playing An Antagonist In Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior: “I Enjoy Playing Grey Characters”

Yesterday, the trailer of Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior starring Ajay Devgn, Saif Ali Khan, and Kajol was unveiled. The trailer launch was attended by Saif, Ajay along with actor Sharad Kelkar.

In the film, Ajay will be portraying Maratha warrior Tanhaji Malusare and Saif is playing the antagonist, Udhaybhan Rathod. The Chef actor looks promising in his villainous avatar and got us excited about his character in the period drama.

At the trailer launch, Saif Ali Khan was asked if he enjoys playing a grey character. He said, “Yeah, maybe, you know. I guess they must have thought of something when they asked me to play the role. It is a very special role. I think I do enjoy playing grey characters”

Khan added, “I don’t have the foggiest idea whether I’d appreciate just doing such characters, however now and again to do such character, I think it is incredibly fun. Furthermore, this is a unique part, the way Om Raut has guided it and imagined it.”

Saif earlier played negative roles in films like Omkara and Race to name a few and people loved him in them. Coming to Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior, the film is helmed by Om Raut and it will hit the screens on January 10, 2020.
