Believe it or not but Chiranjeevi’s actor-son, Ram Charan Teja, donned a sherwani worth Rs. 1.5 lakh on his engagement day (December 1). His fiancée, Upasana Kamineni, wore jewellery worth approximately Rs. 10 crore! The costly adornments were imported from Brazil.
Upasana is the granddaughter of C. Pratap Reddy, chairman of the Apollo group of hospitals. The venue of the engagement ceremony was decorated by a Thailand-based company. The engagement ceremony was telecast live by the Hyderabad based TV news network, TV9.
The high-profile engagement ceremony saw political bigwigs and actors across the state turning up in full force.
Ram’s fiancée, Upasana, is the eldest daughter of Mr Anil & Shobana Kamineni and granddaughter of Prathap Reddy, the chairman of Apollo hospitals group. Upasana has made her career in the business of Infrastructure, Leisure and Healthcare.
The ceremony took place at a farm house in Hyderabad on Thursday.
Chiranjeevi’s family including his two daughters and their close relatives attended the ceremony.
