Actress Gauahar Khan, who was the host for India’s Raw Star, was slapped by a 24-year-old youth on the sets of the reality show yesterday. The incident took place in Film City in Goregaon during the final episode of India’s Raw Star being shot. The person who slapped her has been recognized as Akil Malik.
Malik was a part of the audience for the show and slapped Gauahar on the grounds of her being from the Muslim community and still wearing short clothes. It is also being suspected that he tried touching her inappropriately and later slapped her.
The 24 year old has been detained by Mumbai Police. Gauahar has filed a complaint and the case has been registered. Akil will be presented in the Borivali court tomorrow.
