Join UsIf you thought that there was a dearth of disaster and sci-fi films in Bollywood, think again. Anthony D’Souza (who made his directorial debut with the Akshay Kumar and Sanjay Dutt starrer, Blue) and producer Sidhartha M Jain (of Marigold and Ragini MMS fame) have joined hands to make the sci-fi film, Chaand 2013.
The film, which will be made in 3D, seems to be based in the backdrop of Mumbai city under attack by aliens! In several pre-visualisation shots, shared by iRock Media, one can see important landmarks of Mumbai, including Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus, Bandra-Worli Sealink, Ballard Pier and Rajabai Tower, under attack by extraterrestrial-looking, mechanical beings.
Although the casting of the film, the script of which is being worked upon by iRock Media internally, is yet to be decided, buzz is that the film might star one Bollywood A-List hero and one male actor from Tamil/Telugu industries. ‘Chaand 2013’ will go on the floors in mid 2012, targeting a summer 2013 release.
