South megastar Rajinikanth received a grand welcome from his numerous fans and the Malaysian government on Monday when he landed at Kuala Lampur airport for the shoot of his upcoming flick ‘Kabali’.
The ‘Robot’ star arrived at 5:45 pm with the film’s crew including producer Thaanu. After exchanging pleasantries from the authorities of the airport, Rajinikanth left for Malacca where his shooting schedule is planned. Rajinikanth was overwhelmed by witnessing the number of fans waiting outside the airport just to get a glimpse of him, Rajinikanth cheered them by waving his hands from the plush limousine car which was organised specially for him.
After a formal meeting with the governor of Malacca organised at the governor office along with the employees where Rajinikanth spent tea time, the actor joined the early morning shoot on Wednesday at 6 am at the erected sets and locations in Malacca.
A unit close to the film said that Rajinikanth will be shooting in Malacca till 2nd November and after that will shift to new location. Director Pa Ranjith will shoot in Malaysia for a month and will later shift to Bangkok and Goa to shoot the remaining film.
‘Kabali’ where Rajinikanth plays an ageing don is slated to release in November 2016.
