While the world is fighting a tough battle against the pandemic COVID-19 aka the Coronavirus, Kuch Kuch Hota Hai actress Sana Saeed is fighting a battle of her own. All hell broke loose for the actress after she got news of her father and Urdu poet Abdul Ahad Saeed passed away on 22nd March; the day when India was observing its Janata Curfew.

Now opening up about her ordeal and the emotional turmoil she faced as she was stuck in the US, Sana says the circumstances of her father’s death were very unfair. However, she is quick to add that somewhere deep down her heart she knows that he will be in a happier place now.

Speaking to Hindustan Times, Sana revealed, “My dad was a diabetes patient, and this led to multiple organ failure. It was around 7 am in LA when I got the news and I wanted to rush back home and hug my mother and sisters. The circumstances under which I lost my father were very unfair. But I know in my heart that he was really suffering and he’s definitely in a better place now.”

She further revealed, “My family had decided to do the funeral on the same day and we had only three hours in hand. On their way, they were stopped by the cops to check, but after seeing the death certificate, they allowed them to go. Though I wasn’t there physically, my sister kept texting me every time during the ceremony.”

Sana Saeed is best known for her role as the young Anjali in Shah Rukh Khan, Rani Mukerji and Kajol starrer Kuch Kuch Hota Hai. Sana was also a part of several reality shows like Khatron Ke Khiladi, Nach Baliye and Jhalak Dikhlaa Jaa. She also played a vital role in Karan Johar’s Student Of The Year.
