When Priyanka Chopra wore the Miss World Crown in 2000 at the age of 18, little must she have anticipated that she would become the global sensation that she is today. But it was her sheer determination, dedication and will that has made her the force to reckon with.
However, things were not all rosy for the actress. As Priyanka unveiled a new magazine cover today where she looked her sizzling usual self, PC talked about the massive ego clashes she had with her father as a growing teenager. Speaking to the magazine, Priyanka revealed that her father was shocked to see her when she returned home from the US after a span of 4 years.
Revealing details about that episode with her father and late Dr. Ashok Chopra, Priyanka said, “I’d left as a 12-year-old flat-chested, curly-haired kid and I came back as a 16-year-old almost-woman. I think my dad was really shaken up by that. He didn’t know what to do with me for the first couple of weeks.”
The report further states that Priyanka’s father had put bars on her window and refused to let her wear skin fitting clothes after she revealed that boys used to follow her after school. However, the Mary Kom actress says that despite her ego clashes with her father, he was her best friend.
The report quotes the actress saying, “We had a big clash of egos. No matter what you do, good, bad, or ugly, you can come and tell me. I will help you fix it. I won’t judge you, I will always be in your corner. I’ll always be on your team.”
On the professional front, Priyanka has her calendar full of several films, shows and her productions in the pipeline.
