Bollywood actor John Abraham is all set to play the character of boxer Hawa Singh in an upcoming biopic. It is said that John will also produce the biopic based on this six feet one inch boxer.
The biopic will showcase the journey of Hawa Singh and his glorious achievements through out his life.
Right from the phase of joining the army at 19 till becoming the Western Command Boxing Champion by beating Mohabbat Singh and winning 11 consecutive times at Western Command Boxing Championship, the biopic will give the highlights of his career.
Hawa Singh also trained renowned boxers like Akhil Kumar and Vijendra Singh. The boxer passed away in August 2000. Sam Fernandez has bought the rights of the film and will produce the film along with John and a studio.
John is yet to sign the film officially. Report by a leading daily states that the film will be shot in Delhi, Haryana and his hometown Umarvas, Vaishnodevi, Thailand and other locations.
John is currently gearing up for the release of Dishoom, which is set to hit the screens on 29th July, 2016.
