Filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt’s directorial venture, ‘Arth’, which released way back in 1982, has been in talks from the past number of days among cine-goers following its remake.
The latest news related to the film is, Jacqueline Fernandez and Swara Bhaskar have been roped in to play the lead roles opposite Emraan Hashmi.
If reports are to be believed the remake will have Jacqueline portraying the character of Kavita which was portrayed by late actress Smita Patil in the original, and Swara Bhaskar will be portraying the character of Pooja, which was originally played by Shaban Azmi.
Whereas, Emraan will be playing Inder, the character which was originally portrayed by Kulbushan Kharbanda in the original.
The remake will go on floors later this year and will be released on big screens in mid-2020.
However, an official statement by the makers is yet to be made.

‘Arth 2’, will be helmed by actress-filmmaker, Revathi. The remake will be produced under Vishesh Films banner.
Talking about Emraan, from film front, the actor who was last seen in ‘Why Cheat India’, has two big films in his hands, Rumi Jaffrey’s ‘Chehre’, with Amitabh Bachchan and Kriti Kharbanda.
Apart from ‘Chehre’, he also has a horror film ‘Ezra’, which will be helmed by Jay Krishnan.
