As we all know Deepika Padukone and Irrfan Khan are coming together for one more film which is going to be a gangster based film! The movie is tentatively titled, Sapna Didi!
Vishal Bhardwaj and KriArj Entertainment will produce Deepika and Irrfan’s, Sapna Didi. It will be interesting to see Deepika in a new avatar. Irrfan Khan will play the role of a local gangster who will be her love interest. He will be seen helping Sapna Didi in her mission to kill Dawood Ibrahim.
The film is based on one of the chapters from former investigative journalist-turned-author S Hussain Zaidi’s book Mafia Queens of Mumbai. Now, the buzz is that Vishal Bhardwaj is going to wear the director’s hat!
Now, according to a report in Mumbai Mirror, Prernaa Arora commented about the same, “Vishal sir is on the recce currently and the shooting for the film will kick-start on March 5 in Nepal.”
A source informed the daily that Irrfan and Vishal are likely to meet and discuss few details about the same.
“This film is not a biopic. Vishal sir is directing a fictional thriller that deals with the topic of revenge,” she added.
Well, the movie is all set to go on floor on March 5th, it’ll be interesting to see the duo back again on screen. They had earlier worked in Piku with Amitabh Bachchan.

In an interview with IANS, Ace filmmaker Vishal Bhardwaj said he considers Deepika as one of the finest actors in the country at present while Irrfan is one of his favourites.
“I am really looking forward to working with Deepika, she is one of the finest actors right now and Irrfan has been one of my favourites. So I am really excited to work with them,” Bhardwaj told IANS.
The filmmaker, who will be working for the first time with Deepika, said the script of the film was written well in advance and he is not at all sceptical about casting her in his next project despite the recent controversy surrounding her film Padmaavat.
“This is a script I wrote two years back so I am really not sceptical about anything,” he said.
The Rangoon director also welcomed the emergence of digital media in the country for its “good content” and said more such platforms are necessary to reach out to a larger audience.
