Join UsHere’s another B-town actress, after Kangana Ranaut, who apparently has hiked her fee. According to a leading daily, the ‘Piku‘ actress Deepika Padukone has hiked her fee by 2 crores to continue as a brand ambassador for a popular private sector bank.
A source close to Deepika said that, the actress has renewed the contract with the bank, but as far as the money matter is concerned, they refused to divulge any details. An annual hike in fee is standard procedure for all the stars & it’s not related to their recent box office success.
An insider from the industry said that the contract of Deepika was extended by 18 months for which she demanded 5.5 crores, which was a hike of about 2 crores.
Another reliable source adds that Deepika is currently riding high on success, so the hike in the fee is well justified.
Meanwhile, Deepika is busy with Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s magnum opus ‘Bajirao Mastani‘ which also stars Ranveer Singh & Priyanka Chopra & is scheduled to release on 18th December 2015.
