Bollywood Still On A Halt! Brainstorming On Shooting Process Continues

The coronavirus pandemic has created a huge ruckus across the country. While it has already taken the lives of many, the economy too is suffering big time. Speaking of Bollywood in specific, we all know that huge investments are riding on it and with the shoots coming to a halt, both the makers and daily wage workers are incurring losses.

Apparently, the government of India has permitted some offices to resume the work, the upliftment of shooting restrictions is still a concern for Bollywood. It is learnt that the general secretary of Federation of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE) and other members are brainstorming on how they can carry out the shoots without taking risks in such pandemic conditions. Also, the draft is in the process, which will comprise of all the guidelines regarding the shooting.

As per the report in Mumbai Mirror, the general secretary spoke with actors and technicians of Bollywood through video conferencing and discussed how they can resume their work and there will be another meeting by Saturday. As Mumbai is the main hub for the shoot of various films and TV shows, it’s hard to predict if the permission will be granted by the government as it is categorized under the red zone. The secretary also informed that he had a discussion with Siddharth Roy Kapur too and he said that we will have a video conference call with Indian Motion Picture Producers (IMPPA), Indian Film and Television Producers Council (IFTPC) and Western India Film Producers’ Association.
