The remake of south film Thuppakki has been in news for a multitude of reasons. By looping in last Bond film Skyfall‘s action director Greg Powell, the film is expected to be unparalleled in the domain of adventure and action. But Monday evening shot it to news for sad reasons. An unfortunate accident occurred with Akshay Kumar on the sets of the film. In middle of an action sequence, a truck passed over the actor’s foot, trampling it severely. Though he was saved from any major injuries, he did incur some harrowing minor ones.

Sources from the sets inform that Akshay managed to throw himself out the truck’s way but could not manage getting his foot out from the vehicle’s wheels. Popularly known as Khatron Ke Khiladi, Akshay, despite being a brave heart was in immense pain and had to be rushed to the hospital immediately.
The doctors fearing broken bones immediately got a X ray done. Luckily, there were no bones smashed but mostly heavy tissue tear in the wound area. The actor is apparently now on rest and has been discharged from the hospital. In the last 2 weeks, this is the second time, Kumar has injured his foot.
His physical condition demands meticulous care but with four films slated for consecutive releases soon and 500 crores put up on stake for him, the man cannot afford to take a break from work on health grounds. The actor though rested merely for a day, will resume work at the earliest despite a few heavy injuries. Vigorous Khiladis do live an extreme life, after all.
