Sanjay Leela Bhansali is been the newsmaker for various reasons. The major and the foremost was the project titled Inshallah taking a backburner after Salman Khan opting out of it, but after that the filmmaker surprised everyone with the announcement of Alia Bhatt starrer Gangubai Kathiawadi. And now, SLB is all geared up searching for the leads filling in for another project Baiju Bawra.
While there were lots of speculations revolving around the casting for Baiju Bawra, Ajay Devgn is amongst the names which is consistently being attached to it. Now, the latest development which is flowing in is that Ajay has turned down the role of Tansen offered to him. It is learnt that the actor thinks that the character of Baiju is more meatier than that of Tansen’s, therefore didn’t gave a nod.
Meanwhile, Ajay Devgn is all gearing up for the release of his highly anticipated Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior, slated to clash with Deepika Padukone’s Chhapaak on 10th January 2020.

Apart from Tanhaji, Ajay will also be seen in Amit Ravindernath Sharma’s Maidaan, of which he wrapped up the third schedule in Kolkata.
Sharma’s Maidaan is based on the “golden years of Indian Football”. Ajay essays the role of the legendary coach Syed Abdul Rahim, who is said to be the founding father of Indian football. He was an Indian football coach and manager of the Indian national team from 1950 until his death in 1963. He is also regarded as the architect of modern Indian football.
