Goa police bust a prostitution racket and rescued an actress, who has worked in Telugu and Hindi films, after raiding a five-star hotel in the city, on Tuesday. Panaji police arrested Ayesha Sayyad, who allegedly acted as an agent and provided women for prostitution at various five-star hotels in Goa. Another person who was involved in the racket managed to slip away during the raid.
The actress and Sayyad had arrived from Mumbai by a flight on Tuesday morning. The police had sent a decoy customer to trap her and thus rescued the victim.
The actress would be lodged in a state-run protection home for now.
