The Xpose does not come with big promises at either screenplay or lyrics. Nor does Himesh Reshammiya introduce any innovation at music. For all those who think the ‘Yo Yo’ man will play the saving grace, think again because he has nothing new to offer. In fact, the people involved in the making of the entire album are so stereotypically bound in their own lines of work that creativity dies a long and painful death.

Ice Cream Khaungy (Original And Remix ) – The Xpose Music Review

For one, this will be a part of the DJ’s compilations in almost all the pales you can think of for a few weeks. Just like most of Yo Yo Honey Singh and Himesh Reshammiya tracks, it does not score big on lyrics. Credits for lyrics go to Shabbir Ahmad and Palak Muchchal is at the female voice. The genre is an ode to retro. Kiran Kamath has composed the remix version.

Dard Dilo Ke (Original And Reprise ) – The Xpose Music Review

One amongst the Anjaan brothers, Sameer Anjaan has penned this number being backed by Mohammad Irfan’s voice. It is a romantic rendition. Being a semi classical number, Irfan’s voice absolutely mesmerizes. In the reprise, Neeti Mohan joins in for the female vocals. The only problem with the track remains the musical mismatch. It did not require the club-mix feel to simply subdue Irfan’s intonations.

Hai Apna Dil (Blue’s Mix And Original) – The Xpose Music Review

This is a bilingual number which really has nothing to do with the classic song from which it borrows its name. It has been sung by Yo Yo Honey Singh and Himesh Reshammiya. Having a soothing music to boast of, yet again, Sameer Anjaan’s lyrics sound repetitive. It’s a Broadway-Bollywood mix. In the genre transition, Kiran Kamath has contributed in the Blue’s mix.

Catch Me If You Can – The Xpose Music Review

This reminds of the ‘Dhan Tana’ number from Kaminey. It is also the serving Title Track. No big cookies for lyrics or vocal renditions. Nor does it subscribe to any particular genre. More like a Bollywood – Broadway fusion again. The song has been sung by Shalmali Kholgade, Neeti Mohan, Shubhangi Tiwari, Mohit Chauhan, Himesh Reshammiya and Mika Singh. The list of singers coming together is evident from the chorus in the song.

Surroor (Original And Arabic Mix) – The Xpose Music Review

Seems quite like Reshammiya’s favourite word. It has been sung by Shalmali Kholgade, Honey Singh and Reshammiya himself. Shalmali completely disappoints with the lack of innovation but then again, the composition is not tuned to use an engaging voice like her to the full potential. It is a romantic rendition. Lyrics for this number has been penned by Sameer Anjaan and is, again, partly bilingual. At remix we have Kiran Kamath.

Sheeshe Ka Samundar (Original And Reprise) – The Xpose Music Review

Sung by Ankit Tiwari, this number has again been penned by Sameer Anjaan. It is a progressive experimental rendition and of all the songs in this album, this is amongst the very few soothing ones. Much credit for that must go to the singer, of course. Rekha Bharadwaj furthers the track quality in its reprise version.

The Last Word – The Xpose Music Review

Shalmali Kholgade, Rekha Bharadwaj, Neeti Mohan and Mohammad Irfan, all of them put together couldn’t keep this disaster from coming into being. Talk about misused talents! The album tries too hard to keep to ‘an idea of Bollywood’ that does not necessarily define Hindi Film music. One of those times when you sit back and wonder why people have to try so hard to be loud when just being original would do the trick, even in subtlety.
