The audience is clearly divided between Ayushmann Khurrana’s Bala and Marjaavaan, with latter showing its dominance in the mass belt.
Yesterday, the movie showed some sort of growth in advance booking but it is mainly performing with its spot bookings since opening day. Today also, it is believed to show a jump but to a limited extent.
Let’s take a look at advance booking trends of Marjaavaan for first Sunday:
Mumbai
Mumbai is performing better today as compared to the first 2 days but it’s still not up to the mark. If we talk about the multiplexes, Bala is way ahead in the race. Overall, it’s around 10% shows filling fast here. Single screens are showing better occupancy.
Delhi-NCR
The region is slightly better than Mumbai with 12-15% shows showing good occupancy in advance ticket sale. Evening and night shows are good.

Bengaluru is dull with a countable number of shows running to good occupancy in advance booking.
Hyderabad
This city of Nawabs is surprisingly lower than yesterday with around 25% shows filling fast, as of now. It’s still the best performing centre for the movie among the major cities.
Pune, Kolkata and Chennai
Pune is below average with just 2-5% shows showing full to almost full occupancy in advance booking.
Kolkata showing 5% shows in filling fast range.
Chennai is around 75% filling fast in its limited allotted screening.
