EXCLUSIVE! Sumeet Vyas REVEALS He Would Have Loved To Play Cillian Murphy AKA Thomas Shelby’s Character From Peaky Blinders

Sumeet Vyas is enjoying the best time of his life amid the pandemic. He along with wife, Ekta Kaul welcomed their firstborn recently and named him Ved Vyas. A while ago, Audible Suno released a 20-episodes series of Permanent Roommates where you can hear Tanya and Mikesh’s tittle-tattle all over again.

Vyas has become a popular name in the industry. The Veere Di Wedding actor is extremely brilliant in getting into the skin of the character and is known for his craft.

In an exclusive conversation with Koimoi, we asked Sumeet Vyas if there’s an existing character that he wished to play. Any guesses, what his answer would have been?

It’s none other than Cillian Murphy’s Thomas Shelby From the Peaky Blinders.

Sumeet said, “I would have given my arm to play that character. He has done it so well; it is directed so well, it is written so well. I would have loved to do that because it’s too incorrect yet something so endearing and so on and off in the show which keeps you engage.”

He further added, “If I would get a chance, I would have loved to play Jaideep Ahlawat’s role from Pataal Lok. Jaideep was amazing in the series and it’s definitely the performance of the year.”

Meanwhile, a while ago, BBC announced the sixth season for their hit series Peaky Blinders and we can’t wait to see what the makers have in store for us this time.
