Emraan Hashmi has a spooky road trip ahead and surprisingly he is looking forward to it instead of being scared. He will be accompanied by producer Ekta Kapoor and actress Huma Qureshi on his journey to the Mahakumbh.

“Though it is going to be quite a distance from Mumbai to Allahabad as a major part of the trip would be via road, the team is super excited as they want to savour the Kumbh experience,” informs a source.

Initially the plan was to catch a plane from Mumbai to Varanasi and then drive to Allahabad, a journey that would take two hours. However non-availability of tickets due to the mad rush for Mahakumbh has resulted in a change of plan.

“Now the Ek Thi Daayan team will first fly to Lucknow (and not Varanasi) on the 8th and then drive to Allahabad, which would take four hours or even more,” the source adds.

When asked if such an extensive travel plan was taking things a little too far as close to a day would just go into reaching the destination, the source said, “This is something that you can expect from a Balaji film. When others complain that their films aren’t promoted to the optimal, no one can have a reason for any excuse when it comes to Balaji projects. The team revels in the excesses and that has paid dividends in the past. Look at the kind of publicity that Sunny Leone earned on visiting the Siddhi Vinayak temple to seek blessings for Ragini MMS 2.”

Well, hope the illusionist (played by Emraan Hashmi) and his ‘daayans’ approve. After all, this is going to be one tiring ride. Who knows, this could be a beginning for things to follow till the arrival of the film on 18th April.
