Santana and his family and friends present can be seen wearing shirts and hats emblazoned with the phrase ‘Santana free.’ Santana was initially scheduled to release last week, but “some sh*t happened,” according to the rapper’s wife.
In March 2018, when the performer arrived at Newark Airport for a flight to San Francisco, an X-ray screening of his bag Transportation Security Administration agent identified a suspected firearm,” according to court documents. Santana then “retreated from the security checkpoint area without his belongings. He left behind a .38-caliber handgun, a New York State driver’s license and two bags.”
Authorities searched for Santana, who turned himself over to police two days later and pleaded guilty in August to possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and carrying a weapon onto an aircraft.
