As Marvel’s Phase 4 project, James Gunn will be directing Guardians of The Galaxy 3. He had directed the first two parts and both the films received great responses. Actors Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Dave Bautista, Vin Diesel, Bradley Cooper and Pom Klementieff have become like a family in GOTG and we are a part of it too.
However, there’s heartbreaking news for all the fans of Star-Lord or Peter Quill, Gamora, Drax, Groot, Rocket and Mantis. Director James Gunn confirmed that someone among them is going to die in Guardians of The Galaxy 3.
A few hours ago, Gunn conducted an Instagram question and answer session with his fans. One of the fans asked him, “Will someone die in gogt 3?” and James replied, ‘Yes’. But he hasn’t revealed whose death we will be witnessing the third sequel of this Marvel film.
He was also asked about the news surrounding around Groot’s Alpha groot avatar. A fan asked, “Will Alpha Groot be in GoTG Vol. 3?” to which James Gunn answered, “I have no clue what Alpha Groot is so I’m going to have to give a pretty clear no on that.”
Check out his responses below:
As we saw in the climax of Avengers: Endgame, the Guardians of The Galaxy get into the space with without taking Gamora and Nebula along. However, they are accompanied by Chris Hemsworth’s Thor in the ship.
A few days ago, the director hinted that Guardians of The Galaxy 3 will focus prominently on Rocket’s backstory. A fan had asked him on Twitter, “@JamesGunn
what is that stuff on Rocket’s back when he’s putting on his jump suit? #QuarantineWatchParty #GotG”.
James had replied, “Part of the cybernetics apparently painfully placed in his body. One of my favorite moments in the movie. Rocket’s loneliness and disaffection is at the center of the franchise for me.”
Every superhero in GoTG is our favourite no matter how much they fight with each other. Because when tough times come, they fight for each other like a true family. After Iron Man’s death in Avengers: Endgame, it would be tough to see another amazing character dying in MCU!
