Dandruff is like that friend we never asked for! And no, we aren’t thankful. Many of us have tried multiple home remedies but haven’t found our absolute cure. While onion juice is one of the best solutions, it takes multiple sessions to get satisfactory results. Today, we have something that works much better and faster.
First of all, to all the ones reading this space – there’s a hell lot of a difference between dandruff and dry scalp. The first step is to differentiate what you’re exactly struggling with. With dandruff, it’s the excess oil on the scalp that causes building of the skin cell and shed later. In terms of dry scalp, you notice flakes building up and the skin irritates. Hope that helps.
Getting back to our topic, what we have on our list today is found almost in every kitchen. This product has multiple benefits, for your body as well.
We’re talking about apple cider vinegar here. Basically, what it does is balance the pH of your scalp. Furthermore, ACV being acidic in nature inhibits the fungal growth. A normal bottle at a drugstore cost around Rs. 265 (for massive 950ml bottle).
But how to use apple cider vinegar for treating dandruff? Follow the simple steps below:
Wash your hair properly with any regular shampoo.
Take around 2 tablespoons of Apple Cider Vinegar. Add 3 times of the water (the original content is very very acidic, so we wouldn’t want for it to work in an upside-down way. Details ahead)
Pour the mixture on your head. Massage properly all of the scalp. Make sure to avoid contact with the eyes.
Let it rest for around 20 mins.
NOTE: Make sure that you don’t use this method every single day. Because the acidic content can dry out your hair and you wouldn’t want that.
Using this application twice a week should be more than enough. Not even kidding, but I personally noticed some satisfactory results in the first go. Hope it does for you too!
