Yash, being a widely popular name after the blockbuster success of KGF Chapter 2, the magnum opus was expected to do at least respectable business, but negative reviews and word-of-mouth hampered the run significantly. Since the Rocking Star was returning after a gap of three years, there was buzz on the ground level, but negative word-of-mouth spread like wildfire, leading to a crash right from the second day. For those who don’t know, the film registered a decent start of 16.25 crore (including premieres), followed by just 4 crore on the second day, indicating a huge 75% drop. There was some growth over the 5-day extended opening weekend, but overall collections remained below par.
Toxic wrapped up below 50 crore at the overseas box office
As per the final collection update, Toxic wrapped up its overseas box office run at an estimated 43.3 crore gross, which is extremely low. The Hindi and Telugu versions were expected to back the film with strong numbers, but in reality, it faced outright rejection. Nonetheless, it managed to enter the top Kannada grossers of all time in the overseas market.

Ends its run as Sandalwood’s 4th highest-grosser overseas
With 43.3 crore, Toxic emerged as the 4th highest-grossing Kannada film at the overseas box office. It surpassed Su From So (15 crore) to claim the 4th spot on the list. However, for Yash, it is a big shocker, who dropped from KGF Chapter 2’s 214.15 crore to 43.3 crore.
