After being in theatres for 4 weeks, Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya has now crossed the 85 crores mark. The film had done quite well in its fourth weekend when collections jumped from 75 lakhs on Friday to 1.75 crores on Sunday. This further set things in motion for the sci-fi romcom, which then went on to have very good weekdays, with around 50 lakhs coming on a daily basis.
That’s the reason why, despite the big release of Shaitaan, the showcasing has continued to be good for Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya in the fifth week as well, with select shows being reserved for it. As a result, footfall kept coming in on the fifth Friday and Saturday as well. As a result, the total of the film stands at 86 crores*, which is a really good number, especially after considering the way the opening day was around 7.02 crores and not many pegged it to go beyond 60-70 crores lifetime.
However, the Shahid Kapoor and Kriti Sanon starrer is now actually chasing records and that too of Maddock Films’ own Zara Hatke Zara Bachke. The Vicky Kaushal and Sara Ali Khan romcom had collected 88 crores in its lifetime run last year and now Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya needs only 2 crores more to go past that mark. The jumps that it gets in the current week would be the key, and by the look of things, it would indeed come in trumps.
