Super 30 had a good first week at the Box Office, what with the collections going past the 75 crores mark. The weekdays were quite stable and while between Monday to Wednesday the collections stayed over the 6 crores mark, on Thursday too the numbers were quite stable at 5.75 crores*. That has ensured the overall total to 75.98 crores*.
Of course, given the kind of critical acclaim and positive word of mouth that the film had gained, the Vikas Behl directed affair could have benefitted immensely with the first week collections in the vicinity of 80 crores. Still, it should manage to make up for it with a relatively open week ahead, what with only The Lion King expected to impact it to an extent.
Hrithik Roshan would soon have another century to his name with Super 30 going lash the 100 crores mark and then his next big one War is expected to create havoc. Ditto for producer Sajid Nadiadwala who has Chhichhore and Housefull 4 coming in next, both of which are expected to mint in good money.
As for Bollywood, it has gained further with yet another successful film in a year that has seen majority of deserving films doing well commercially.
*Estimates. Final numbers awaited
