Shahid Kapoor and Kiara Advani starrer Kabir Singh has hit the cinemas with a bang. The film was always expected to take a good opening but it has surpassed the expectations of many.
Kabir Singh, as it hit the cinemas today received a really warm response from the audience. The morning occupancies were 50-55% and it will only improve in the noon and evening shows.
The opening is second best of the year (Bollywood) and only after Bharat as far as the occupancies are concerned. The screen count is of course way short of Bharat and few other films like Kalank and Kesari but one thing is sure that Kabir Singh‘s opening day number will be among the highest of this year.

Kabir Singh is the official remake of Telugu Blockbuster Arjun Reddy. The film proved to be a gamechanger for Vijay Deverakonda and we hope it does the same for Shahid Kapoor as well.
Earlier talking about the challenges he faced to play Kabir Singh, Shahid Kapoor said, “Kabir Singh has been an extremely challenging film for me emotionally and physically. Since I had three distinct looks in the film, I had to transform myself to quite an extent.”
He further added that he had to smoke for the film, “I had to smoke cigarettes and grow my beard. However, since my character demanded it, I did not think twice before doing what my director wanted me to do. I like doing roles that challenge me.”
