There are different kinds of comedies at the box-office this week. There’s the dark comedy, Yeh Saali Zindagi, starring Chitrangda Singh, Irrfan Khan & Arunoday Singh. As if the love triangle between them weren’t complicated enough, there’s a kidnapping added to this Sudhir Mishra film as well.
With Vinay Pathak’s double role, Utt Pataang is double the fun. Now the simpleton Vinay Pathak would have been living his mundane life if he hadn’t been caught up in a money deal with a private detective (Saurabh Shukla), a gangster (Vinay Pathak again) and his moll (Mahie Gill). And if you’re in the mood for more double-roles, Dev Anand’s 1961 classic, Hum Dono, is coloured, revamped and back in theatres.
Sanctum is for the ones looking for a thrill at the theatres. Hold your breath with the divers as they try to escape the impending flood that will trap them in the underwater caves. Warming up for the Oscars is the touching tale of Javier Bardem in Biutiful. There’s also Alpha And Omega to just sit back and let animation take over.
