Actor Tiger Shroff and director Sabbir Khan had earlier landed in a legal soup relating to their upcoming flick Munna Michael. An aspiring filmmaker Kritik Kumar Pandey had filed a case against Tiger and Sabbir in Versova Police station for stealing the storyline of Munna Michael from him.
According to a report from TOI, Kritik in a press note said, “Tiger took my story a year ago and kept coaxing me to give him more details about my project titled ‘MJ Return‘. He had committed to doing the film with me, but he has now gone on to announce another project with a similar storyline.”
Though now tables have turned since according to the same report a source close to Munna Michael replied to the newspaper by saying that, “Tiger and Sabbir haven’t even heard of a man called Kritik. He is doing it just for publicity. More often than not, filmmakers don’t take the legal route due to lack of time. But this news has come as a shock to Tiger and Sabbir as being embroiled in a needless controversy just after their announcement is the last thing they wanted. They are finalizing paperwork to file a defamation case against this man.”
