Sushant Singh Rajput Death: PM Narendra Modi Acknowledges Subramanian Swamy’s Request For Joint CBI-NIA-ED Probe

BJP Rajya Sabha MP Subramanian Swamy has been actively taking interest in the death investigation case of Sushant Singh Rajput. He recently sent a letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi which had a request of directing the Enforcement Directorate (ED) and National Investigation Agency (NIA) along with the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) to investigate the death row.

Advocate Ishkaran Singh Bhandari took to his Twitter account and confirmed the same. He tweeted, “On July 30 Dr @Swamy39 had written to PM @narendramodi for SIT of ED, CBI, NIA etc to investigate the multi-dimension Sushant Singh Rajput Case. Today the PM acknowledged the letter.” Subramanian Swamy retweeted Ishkaran’s tweet.

Before this, on July 30 Swamy had tweeted saying, “In my latest letter I have requested the PM to direct the Enforcement Directorate and NIA be asked to investigate the circumstances leading to the mysterious death of Sushant Singh Rajput. Subsequently, we can have an SIT (Special Investigation Team) consisting of CBI and these two national agencies.”

This wasn’t the first time PM Modi has acknowledged Subramanian Swamy’s letter on Sushant Singh Rajput’s case. Before this, last month in a reply to one of Swamy’s letters, PM Modi said, “I have received your letter of July 15, 2020.”

Sushant Singh Rajput was found hanging at his Mumbai residence on June 14. His body was sent to Cooper Hospital for post-mortem the same day. The postmortem report cited the actor’s death as a “clear case of suicide with no other foul play”.
