Sachin-Jigar seem to have cracked it, yet again! Though one still awaits the entire soundtrack of Go Goa Gone, the zom-com which has started making waves even though a while away, it is Slowly Slowly which has made an impression rather fast. Just when one was getting used to the sound of this current party track in the offering, a special ‘Monday blues’ song, Khoon Choos Le, made sure that the week unfolded on a rather pleasant note.
“Yeah,” smiles Kunal Khemu, one of the leads of this Raj-DK directed affair, “Don’t we all simply hate Mondays? Just like Mondays pretty much sucks blood out of our system, zombies do the same in their existence as well. (Lyricist) Amitabh Bhattacharya really cracked it in a big way and brought around the analogy.”
Meanwhile with Slowly Slowly already doing the trick, the makers – Saif Ali Khan, Dinesh Vijan and Sunil Lulla – who have already collaborated for a musical hit last year, Cocktail, are pretty gung ho about Go Goa Gone repeating the feat as well.
Says Raj, “There is a lot of masti and naachgaana happening for sure. Basically since our film in itself is quite crazy and whacky, the soundtrack is bound to be funny as well. What you get to hear is a trippy soundtrack. It is in a very happy-n-fun zone.”
“It wasn’t easy to get these results though,” adds D.K., “There is a lot of serious effort that has been put for both the film as well as music. While Slowly Slowly and Khoon Choos Le are cool number, another track, Babaji Ki Booty, is a slacker song. It should be a hit in a lot of home parties. Then there is this song called Die Daayan which is a dub step kind of rock number. It is very macho song.”
With Dinesh Vijan being known to be pretty much hands-on with the making of songs for his films, Go Goa Gone would also have a rather sober song titled Khushamdeed in the offering which is expected to balance the whacky quotient of the earlier tracks. It is a number where the protagonists are thanking God for all that has come their way. “This is the best album till date by Sachin-Jigar,” says a source from Eros, “We are very happy with the results.”
A production of Illuminati Films and Eros International, Go Goa Gone stars Saif Ali Khan, Kunal Khemu, Vir Das, Anand Tiwari and Puja Gupta in principle roles and releases all over on 10th May.
