Recently, last year, Suraj Pancholi, grabbed headlines post his girlfriend Jiah Khan’s death, after he was put under the scanner, with claims of his involvement in Jiah Khan’s untimely death. Suraj, who was even taken into police custody had the entire world gone wrong and was taken negative, even before he could make his on screen debut.
But ever since then, one person who stood right by the starlet is our own superstar Salman Khan. Salman, who has always been fond of the Pancholi son supported him and helped him face the tenacity of life, ushering in hopes on his Bollywood debut. And Salman clearly decided to let that hope take shape in reality now. The actor, who is busy releasing his next, Jai Ho, later this month has already planned up an entire schedule for his home production, a remake of Subhash Ghai’s Hero, starring Suraj Pancholi in the lead.
Definitely a launch pad one would have always dreamt of, Suraj Pancholi’s ‘Hero’ remake is slated to go on floors this 18th of February and Salman has tentatively locked a December 12 release for the same. Salman Khan Productions, which helms the project, a remake of the Jackie Shroff starrer musical blockbuster have also roped in Aathiya Shetty, daughter of Sunil Shetty to play the lead to Suraj in the film.
Not just that, Salman has reportedly asked Nikhil Advani to take over the project as his next directorial venture and if sources are to be believed, Nikhil has already revamped the total script and plotline making it a totally new age story where the plot is extremely different from its prequel. The character played by Suraj will be more heroic and aggressive and the stunts and action sequences will be shot in a much stylized manner, in total Salman Khan isshtyle.
