Maneesh Sharma is almost confirmed for Salman Khan’s Tiger 3, but why not Ali Abbas Zafar? Well, Tiger Zinda Hai is still Salman’s highest grosser, and it did break some serious records at the box office back when it released.
There have been reports that Salman Khan will get back with Kabir Khan for Tiger 3, but it seems all of those rumours were false. Now, there have been reports that Maneesh Sharma who has made movies like Shah Rukh Khan’s Fan and Ranveer Singh’s Band Baaja Baaraat will be directing the third instalment of Tiger franchise.
This surely has come in as a massive surprise for Salman Khan fans because there are huge shoes to fill for Maneesh. Ali Abbas Zafar did take Tiger Zinda Hai a notch above Kabir Khan’s Ek Tha Tiger. Now, it’s to be seen how well Maneesh would handle the mighty action space of the film.
Going by the first two parts, Tiger 3 will try and surpass all the expectations when it comes to action sequences. Now, the question many fans have been raising on social media – why not Ali Abbas Zafar? Well, it seems the not-so-expected business of Bharat might’ve affected this deal. The rumours state that Ali was a part of the project, but due to Bharat’s fate, YRF wanted a change in the direction.
The news of a tiff between Salman Khan and Ali Abbas Zafar was also reported a few months ago. Though Ali has always denied about any spat between him and Salman, it’s hard to believe why Yash Raj Films will let go off him for such a monumental project? There certainly is something big going on under the table.
