Rajkumar Hirani: I’m Very Scared Of My Own Work

One of the best directors in Bollywood Rajkumar Hirani, who has delivered some wonderful hits in the past, says he is scared of his own work.

After delivering some successful films in the past, when asked how confident was he shooting for PK, he said, “I am very scared of my own work. I can’t go unprepared on the sets, so we spend most of the time in scripting. Until and unless my script is good, I don’t like going on the sets. I am not in a race to do one film in a year.”

“Abhijat (Joshi, the writer) is like a brother to me because our thinking is very similar. We have made some rules for ourselves – the first is that the script should be inspired from life. Also, we have to find something unique to talk about,” he added.

Hirani, who has given hits like Munna Bhai MBBS, Lage Raho Munna Bhai and 3 Idiots, is now busy promoting his film PK.

While Aamir’s nude poster of ‘PK‘ created quite a stir in the industry Hirani, says there’s a difference between nudity and vulgarity. He says, “That’s not a nude poster….pata nahin logo ko transistors ke through kaise dikhayi dete hai? This is not a vulgar pose. There’s a difference between nudity and vulgarity.”

Directed by Rajkumar Hirani, PK features Anushka Sharma, SanjayDutt, Sushant Singh Rajput among others. The film is slated for Dec 19 release.
